Particles Galleries: One-man show, Newport Beach, Ca.

An event in early September 1984 holds a special place in my memory.  The setting was Casa Pacifia - Nixon's Western White House.  A crowd of several thousand people was in attendance.  The committee chairmen and staff of the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee had gathered there to say a joyful farewell to each other after a job well done.  I was there for the unveiling of two of my large sculptures, bronzes from the edition of  "American Fisherman" that were purchased by members of the LAOOC to present to Peter Uberroth and Harry Usher for their Olympic Leadership.

Donovan and Seamans, Newport Beach, Ca. Benefit honoring America's Cup sailing team: "Eagle Challenge" with the unveiling of "Windswept", a commissioned piece to raise funds to help house and feed the crew.

Parker Bertea Aerospace Dedication, Irvine, Ca. Unveiling of "Golden Eagle", a 52" high bronze purchased by the chairman of the board.

Chapman College, Orange, Ca. Presentation of 52" "Golden Eagle" as gift to college, to be placed in the Higher Learning Department.

Commissions from a board member of the Gymnastics Federation for two bronzes: a female on the balance beam and a male on the parallel bars, for unveiling and presentation to the United States Gymnastics Federation.

The Appleton Museum of Art, Ocala, Fl. Purchase of 52"high "Golden Eagle" and 36" high "American Fisherman", a bald eagle with fish.

Niche addition for Paso Robles Cemetary District: 61" high bald eagle, "Spirit", dedicated for Veteran's Memorial monument.
