Never, Fellow Patriots, Forget, limited to an edition of 1300, is a 360º patriotic totem standing 13” high upon a turnstile so as to be turned for one’s contemplation. It is cast in tin and then patinated through a series of processes, one of which is powder-coating. It takes approximately 2 days to complete each hand-crafted sculpture after having spent 4 months to conceive, sculpt and mold it for production. The tenacity and soul of a veteran yearned to gift this to America. Rather than having the sculpture cost two to three times as much as its’ opening price, the piece will not be sold retail either in stores or galleries unlike his other artwork.
To honor 9/11 victims, veterans, active military and their families, an individual’s name may be engraved on the side of the Pentagon upon request. Please note in viewing the piece that a golden tear, a brave tear indeed, has been placed below the right eye.
Besides being purchased by individuals we are also putting out the call to have it purchased for viewing in a public place or as a fund raiser, hence allowing more people to see it in person, three-dimensionally! For example, the artist, Bill, a two tour, two campaign Vietnam vet gifted one to his local chapter #535 here in Grass Valley as well as another one for them to raffle off on 9/11. It is our hope that by selling $5 raffle tickets a noteworthy amount of money may be raised to help them with their charitable causes.
Even though, only 1300 Americans will be able to purchase this at our gifted “wholesale” price, we hope it will inspire people to share this across the internet so the hearts and minds of everyone can experience interacting with this piece. Furthermore, we have made a you tube video so as to show its revolving complexity and have a way for Americans to post their comments. We want this piece to remind Americans of our founding fathers and documents that have granted us our freedom and liberty as well as those that have fought through their actions and words to safeguard it from tyranny.
And now from the heart of the artist/veteran himself:
The tenor of this sculpture is to state that we, patriots, will not fade away. We will speak out, seize the day and squelch the wolves, both foreign and domestic, even when they hide though shrouded within the feathers of emancipation afforded by our Constitution. Please note the wolf within...shrouded.
At the conclusion of the Constitutional Convention, Benjamin Franklin was asked “What have you wrought?” He answered “...a Republic, if you can keep it?” That reply from Mr. Franklin profoundly resonates today like the Liberty Bell located between The Declaration of Independence, the promise, and the Constitution, the fulfillment, as seen on the base of this sculpture which represents the foundation of our sovereignty.
