The setting was Casa Pacifica - Nixon's Western White House. A crowd of several thousand people was in attendance. The committee chairmen and staff of the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee had gathered there to say a joyful farewell to each other after a job well done. I was there for the unveiling of two of my wildlife sculptures, bronzes from the edition of "American fisherman" that were purchased by members of the LAOOC to present to Peter Ueberroth and Harry Usher for their Olympic leadership.
